THE FOUNDATION IS ORGANIZED FOR EDUCATIONAL AND CHARITABLE PURPOSES FOR THE BENEFIT OF PHARR-SAN JUAN-ALAMO ISD AND ITS STUDENTS. IT IS TO PROVIDE ANNUAL MINI GRANTS TO TEACHERS, LITERACY GRANT FOR STUDENTS, AND SCHOLARSHIPS TO STUDENTS.

MINI GRANTS WERE GIVEN TO CLASSROOM TEACHERS WITH THE OBJECTIVE OF ENHANCING THE HANDS ON LEARNING EXPERIENCE IN THE CLASSROOM. DUE TO COVID GRANTS WERE NOT GIVEN OUT IN 2021
THE FOUNDATION PROVIDED SCHOLARSHIPS FOR TUITION AND RELATED HIGHER EDUCATION COSTS TO 174 GRADUATING STUDENTS FROM PSJA ISD. THE OBJECTIVE IS TO ENCOURAGE STUDENTS TO CONTINUE IN COLLEGE.
THE FOUNDATION PROVIDES A GRANT TO THE LIBRARY DEPARTMENT OF THE SCHOOL DISTRICT TO PROMOTE SUMMER READING AND STUDENT LITERACY. THE EVENTS SPONSORED WITH THE GRANT SERVE OVER 350 STUDENTS IN TWO PROGRAM (BRIGHT SUMMER READER PROGRAM AND BATTLE OF THE BOOKS).
