THE MISSION OF THE FOUNDATION FOR HEALTHY FLORIDIANS IS TO ADVANCE THE MEDICAL PROFESSION, PROMOTE HEALTHIER COMMUNITIES, AND PROTECT THE PUBLIC HEALTH BY EMPOWERING FLORIDA'S PHYSICIAN LEADERS. THE FOUNDATION IS THE FMA'S PHILANTROPIC VEHICLE FOR SUPPORTING PHYSICIAN LEADERSHIP AND EDUCATION, PUBLIC HEALTH, AND PHYSICIAN HEALTH.

SUPPORT THE KARL M. ALTENBURGER, M.D. PHYSICIAN LEADERSHIP ACADEMY, WHICH WILL HELP YOUNG DOCTORS HONE THE SKILLS THEY NEED TO BECOME LEADERS WITHIN THE MEDICAL PROFESSION AND EFFECT CHANGE IN HEALTH CARE.
HEALTHY LIVING CAMPAIGN - WE CREATED A HEALTHY LIVING TOOLKIT FOR PHYSICIANS AND THEIR PATIENTS TO HELP PROMOTE HEALTHIER LIFESTYLE HABITS. THE TOOLKIT IS DESIGNED TO ASSIST PHYSICIANS IN GIVING THEIR PATIENTS EVIDENCE-BASED GUIDANCE IN CHOOSING HEALTHY, NUTRITIOUS FOODS AND IN GETTING MORE PHYSICAL ACTIVITY INTO THEIR DAY, ALL WITH AN EYE TOWARD HELPING FLORIDIANS LEAD HEALTHIER LIVES. STUDIES PROVE THAT PRINTED PATIENT EDUCATION MATERIALS IMPROVE PATIENTS' ADHERENCE TO THEIR PHYSICIANS' GUIDANCE.
