THE MISSION OF THE FOUNDATION FOR HEALTHY FLORIDIANS IS TO ADVANCE THE MEDICAL PROFESSION, PROMOTE HEALTHIER COMMUNITIES, AND PROTECT THE PUBLIC HEALTH BY EMPOWERING FLORIDA'S PHYSICIAN LEADERS. THE FOUNDATION IS THE FMA'S PHILANTROPIC VEHICLE FOR SUPPORTING PHYSICIAN LEADERSHIP AND EDUCATION, PUBLIC HEALTH, AND PHYSICIAN HEALTH.

SUPPORT THE KARL M. ALTENBURGER, M.D. PHYSICIAN LEADERSHIP ACADEMY, WHICH WILL HELP YOUNG DOCTORS HONE THE SKILLS THEY NEED TO BECOME LEADERS WITHIN THE MEDICAL PROFESSION AND EFFECT CHANGE IN HEALTH CARE.
THE MEDICAL DISASTER RELIEF FUND WAS ESTABLISHED IN 2005 FOLLOWING HURRICANE KATRINA TO: HELP PHYSICIAN PRACTICES RECOVER AFTER NATURAL DISASTERS, SUPPORT PHYSICIANS SO THAT THEY CAN PROVIDE URGENTLY NEEDED MEDICAL SERVICES IN COMMUNITIES WRECKED BY NATURAL DISASTERS, & PROVIDE SUPPORT TO PHYSICIANS SO THEY CAN DELIVER BADLY-NEEDED MEDICAL SERVICES IN AREAS THAT HAVE BEEN DEVASTATED BY NATURAL DISASTERS.
