THE APEREO FOUNDATION ACTS AS FISCAL SPONSOREE FOR MULTIPLE ACTIVE PROJECTS. EACH PROJECT PROVIDES COLLABORATIVE OPEN SOURCE SOFTWARE THAT SUPPORTS EDUCATIONAL, AND RESEARCH EFFORTS. PROJECTS INCLUDE BEDEWORK, CAS, OAE, OPENCAST, SAKAI, AND UPORTAL.
THE APEREO FOUNDATION IS ACTIVELY INVOLVED IN COMMUNITY BUILDING, EDUCATION, AND PUBLIC ADVOCACY TO PROMOTE AWARENESS AND THE IMPORTANCE OF OPEN SOURCE SOFTWARE FOR EDUCATIONAL INITIATIVES.
