DAY SHELTER, PROVIDES A PLACE FOR WOMEN AND CHILDREN DURING THE DAY. BREAKFAST AND LUNCH ARE SERVED; CHILDREN ARE PROVIDED TRANSPORT FROM SCHOOL TO THE SHELTER. MOTHERS ARE PROVIDED WITH RESOURCES FOR HOUSING, JOB SEARCH, ETC. CHILDREN RECEIVED TUTORING IF NEEDED, COMPUTERS FOR HOMEWORK, ETC. NIGHT AND EMERGENCY SHELTER, RESIDENTS ARE GIVEN TRANSPORT TO THE NIGHT SHELTER AND SERVED DINNER.
RENTON MEAL COALITION IS A MEAL PROGRAM SERVING HOT MEALS TO ANYONE FREE OF CHARGE. WE WORK TO FILL IN GAPS IN MEAL SERVICES PROVIDED BY VARIOUS NONPROFITS IN RENTON. WE SPECIFICALLY SCHEDULE OUR MEALS AROUND THESE ORGANIZATIONS TO ENSURE THAT HOT MEALS ARE AVAILABLE EVERY DAY TO OUR COMMUNITY. QUALIFIED STAFF, VOLUNTEERS AND PARTNER AGENCIES ARE PRESENT ON SITE TO OFFER SUPPORT AND REFERRALS WHERE NEEDED. THE MEALS ARE SERVED AT THE OLD CHAMBER OF COMMERCE BUILDING IN RENTON, WA. DURING THE PANDEMIC MEALS WERE SUPPLIED BY A LOCAL CATERER AND DISTRIBUTED OUTSIDE WITH NO INSIDE SERVICE.
DIVERSION SUPPORT, PROVIDES FINANCIAL SUPPORT TO INDIVIDUALS TO OVERCOME HURDLES TO HOUSING. EXAMPLES ARE RENT SUPPORT DURING THE PANDEMIC WHERE INDIVIDUALS LOST INCOME AND WERE NOT ABLE TO KEEP UP WITH RENT PAYMENTS, PAYMENTS TO COVER COSTS SUCH AS BAD DEBT TO SUPPORT FINANCIAL WELL BEING TO GETTING INTO HOUSING, AS WELL AS MOVE IN COSTS SUCH AS DAMAGE DEPOSITS AND OTHER UP FRONT COSTS REQUIRED FOR HOUSING.
ADMINISTRATION - THESE FUNDS ARE UNALLOCATED BY REQUIREMENTS AND ARE USED BY THE PROGRAM 1-2 BASED ON NEED. CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT HAS BEEN ALLOCATED IN PREPARATION FOR A NEW PERMANENT SPACE.
