WE EXIST TO EMPOWER A GENERATION OF WELL BLACK WOMEN BY ELIMINATING HEALTH DISPARITIES AND OTHER BARRIERS THAT IMPACT BLACK WOMEN AND GIRLS. WE ENERGIZE, MOBILIZE, AND SUPPORT BLACK WOMEN AND GIRLS TO LIVE HEALTHY, WELL, AND THRIVING LIVES.

Part 3 - Line 4a
DURING 2022, WE CONTINUED TO MAKE SIGNIFICANT STRIDES FORWARD IN OUR PROGRAMMING, SERVICES, AND IMPACTS. WE HOSTED THE SECOND COHORT OF OUR STATEWIDE HEALTH EQUITY LEADERSHIP TRAINING PROGRAM, THE WELL BLACK WOMAN INSTITUTE RECRUITING WOMEN ACROSS 4 COUNTIES. WE EXPANDED OUR HEALTH AND WELLNESS PROGRAMMING AND INCREASED THE NUMBER OF WOMEN ACCESSING AND PARTICIPATING IN HEALTH PROMOTION AND EDUCATION IN BOTH IN-PERSON AND VIRTUAL SETTINGS. WE CONTINUED TO GROW OUR HEALTH IMPROVEMENT AND ADVOCACY WORK AROUND BLACK MATERNAL AND CHILD HEALTH.IN 2022, AS PART OF SAVING OUR BABIES PROGRAM WE FORMED A DOULA COLLECTIVE TO SERVE BLACK WOMEN THROUGHOUT THEIR BIRTH EXPERIENCE. ADDITIONALLY, WE LAUNCHED OUR COMMUNITY HEATLH INITIATIVES DEPARTMENT PROVIDING DIRECT SERVICES THROUGH COMMUNITY HEALTH WORKERS TO SECURE RESOURCES, INFORMATION AND SUPPORT WOMEN WITH WHAT THEY NEED TO IMPROVE THEIR HEALTH.
