HIV PREVENTION - PHIMC FUNDS AND MONITORS HIGH IMPACT, TARGETED HIV PREVENTION SERVICES DELIVERED BY 14 PARTNER AGENCIES IN SUBURBAN COOK ON BEHALF OF THE ILLINOIS DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC HEALTH. THROUGH THIS PROJECT, PHIMC PROVIDES CAPACITY BUILDING TRAINING AND TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE FOCUSED ON IMPROVING SERVICE DELIVERY TO ALL PROVIDERS. PHIMC ALSO WORKS TO EXPAND ROUTINE, OPT-OUT HIV TESTING WITHIN GENERAL MEDICAL SETTINGS THROUGHOUT ILLINOIS, SUPPORTS THE SUSTAINABILITY OF ROUTINE TESTING THROUGH BILLING AND REIMBURSEMENT STRATEGIES, AND PROVIDES TRAINING AND TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE TO IMPROVE MEDICAL AND SOCIAL SERVICES FOR PEOPLE LIVING WITH HIV/AIDS. PHIMC ALSO PROVIDES REGIONAL IMPLEMENTATION OF STATE FUNDING FOR 14 PARTNER AGENCIES.

NATIONAL HEALTH CORPS CHICAGO, A PROGRAM OF NHC, IS ADMINISTERED BY HEALTH FEDERATION OF PHILADELPHIA (HFP) AND IMPLEMENTED BY PHIMC.
HEALTH JUSTICE - PHIMC'S COMMUNITY REENTRY PROJECT PROVIDES COMPREHENSIVE MEDICAL AND SOCIAL SERVICES TO INDIVIDUALS LIVING WITH, AND AT HIGH RISK FOR, HIV AS THEY TRANSITION FROM INCARCERATION TO COMMUNITY. THROUGH THIS PROJECT, PHIMC PROVIDES TECHNICAL SUPPORT TO PUBLIC HEALTH PROFESSIONALS AND SOCIAL SERVICE PROVIDERS TO IDENTIFY AND ADDRESS THE NEEDS OF THE TARGET POPULATION.
