TO IMPROVE THE ACCURACY OF AMERICAS VOTING ROLLS, ERIC PROVIDED ITS MEMBERS WITH ACCESS TO INFORMATION ON VOTER REGISTRATION RECORDS THAT WERE INACCURATE OR OUT-OF-DATE DUE TO VOTERS CHANGING RESIDENCES. MEMBERS CONTACTED THESE VOTERS VIA MAIL IN ORDER TO CORRECT THE INACCURACY OR OBTAIN INFORMATION SUFFICIENT TO INACTIVATE OR UPDATE THE VOTERS RECORD. ERIC ALSO PROVIDED INFORMATION ON VOTERS WHO APPEARED TO BE DECEASED BASED ON OFFICIAL DEATH DATA FROM THE SOCIAL SECURITY ADMINISTRATION. TO INCREASE PARTICIPATION IN ELECTIONS, ERIC IDENTIFIED POTENTIALLY ELIGIBLE BUT UNREGISTERED RESIDENTS IN SEVERAL MEMBER STATES. MEMBERS CONTACTED THESE INDIVIDUALS VIA A MAILING THAT INCLUDED INSTRUCTIONS FOR HOW TO BEST REGISTER TO VOTE. THE MAILING INCLUDED THE ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS AND VOTER REGISTRATION DEADLINES.
