THE BEAUTIFUL PROJECT IS A COLLECTIVE OF IMAGE MAKERS THAT USE PHOTOGRAPY, WRITING, AND CARE TO CREATE SPACES FOR BLACK WOMEN AND GIRLS TO CONFROMT THE MASS MISUNDERSTANDING, MISREPRESENTATION, AND MISUSE OF THEIR LIKENESS IN THE MEDIA AND IN THE WORLD AT LARGE. THROUGH TOOLS OF CULTURAL ACTIVISM, TBP COLLECTIVELY BUILD AND UTILIZE VOICE AND POWER TO ADVANCE THE WELLNESS AND REPRESENTATIONAL JUSTICE OF BLACK WOMEN AND GIRLS.

ARTS & ACTIVISM YOUTH APPRENTICESHIP. APPRENTICESHIP THAT PROVIDES AN OPPORTUNITY FOR FIVE BLACK GIRL CREATIVES BETWEEN 14 AND 18 YEARS OLD WHO ARE INTERESTED IN USING ART TO POSITIVELY IMPACT THE WELLNESS AND REPRESENTATION OF BLACK GIRLS AND WOMEN.
ON GOING MEMORY IS RITUL EXHIBITION AT THE NORTH CAROLINA MUSEUM OF ART.
RUTGERS EXHIBITION. PHOTOGRAPHIC AND FILM PIECES CREATED BY EMERGING YOUNG AND ESTABLISHED ARTIST FROM THE BEAUTIFUL PROJECT WERE SELECTED TO BE FEAUTURED IN PICTURING BLACK GIRLHOOD: MOMENTS OF POSSIBILITY, AN INTERNATIONAL EXHIBITION ON DISPLAY FROM FEBRUARY-AUGUST 2022 HOSTED BY EXPRESS NEWARK & RUTGERS UNIVERSITY. CURATED BY SCHEHERAZADE TILLET AND ZORAIDA LOPEZ-DIAGO, THIS EXHIBITION FEATURED MORE THAN EIGHT BLACK WOMEN, GIRLS, AND GENDERQUEER ARTIST- RANGING IN AGE FROM 8 TO 94- WHO WORK IN THE MEDIUMS OF PHOTOGRAPHY AND FILM AND HAVE A SUSTAINED PRACTICE OF EXPLORING THE THEM OF BLACK GIRLHOOD.
