FOOD PANTRY: DURING 2022 THE FOOD PANTRY WAS OPEN TO RESIDENTS OF POLK COUNTY, IOWA. THE ORGANIZATION OFFERS PRE-SORTED NURTITIONALLY BALANCED 3-DAY+ SUPPLY OF FOOD BASED ON FAMILY SIZE INCLUDING REFRIGERATED AND FROZEN FOODS, MILK AND MEAT AND PERSONAL CARE PRODUCTS ONCE PER CALENDAR MONTH. BREAD ITEMS AND FRESH PRODUCE ARE AVAILABLE DAILY. THE FOOD PANTRY SERVED ON AVERAGE 2,860 INDIVIDUALS EACH MONTH. ON AVERAGE, 91,269 POUNDS OF FOOD WERE DISTRIBUTED MONTHLY. AVERAGE NUMBER OF HOURS THAT VOLUNTEERS SERVE MONTHLY TO ACCOMPLISH THIS PURPOSE IS 995 HOURS.
