THE PROGRAM PROVIDED EQUIPMENT INSTRUCTION AND ACCESS TO A MULTIPLE OF ATHLETIC OPPORTUNITIES FOR CHILDREN AND ADULTS WITH DISABILITIES. OVER 1,000 ATHLETES RECEIVED SKI AND SNOWBOARD LESSONS . ATHLETES FROM 3 SPECIAL OLYMPICS TEAMS IN THE GREATER WATERVILLE VALLEY WERE MENTORED AND RECEIVED SEASON PASSES TO TRAIN FOR THE NH WINTER SPECIAL OLYMPICS WHICH WATERVILLE VALLEY ADAPTIVE SPORTS CO-HOSTED WITH THE RESORT. WATERVILLE VALLEY ADAPTIVE SPORTS HOSTED DISABLED VETERANS AND THEIR FAMILIES FOR A WEEKEND IN THE BEAUTIFUL WHITE MOUNTAINS OF NH. THE PROGRAM PROVIDED HOUSING AND ON SNOW INSTRUCTION SPECIALIZED EQUIPMENT AND INSTRUCTION FOR THOSE IN ATTENDANCE. ADDITIONALLY THE PROGRAM PARTNERED WITH THE UNIVERSITY OF NEW HAMPSHIRE TO OFFER A SUMMER CYCLING PROGRAM TO DISABLED ATHLETES.
