CELIA BERTOIA DEMONSTRATED THE SOUNDING SCULPTURES AND EXPLAINED THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE BEROTIA KNOLL CHAIRS. EXPENSES INCLUDED REFRESHMENTS AND ADS AT 305.
MAY 3, 2021 - ZOOM LECTURE TO PART APPRAISERS, ONLINE ONLY. 54 APPRAISERS IN ATTENDANCE STAYED THROUGHOUT THE PRESENTATION. CELIA BERTOIA SPOKE ABOUT HOW TO IDENTIFY AUTHENTIC BERTOIA SCULPTURES AND COMPARED THEM TO THE UNAUTHORIZED COPIES IN A POWERPOINT SHOW. VALUES AND MARKET PRICES WERE COVERED. THIS WAS A WEEKLY CLASS FOR THREE WEEKS, BEGINNING WITH WORLD WAR II AND THE ART WHICH CAME AFTER THE WAR. THERE WAS A HEAVY FOCUS ON HARRY BERTOIA AND A FINAL CLASS AT THE FOUNDATION GALLERY. ALL COSTS WERE COVERED BY DIXIE STATE UNIVERSITY ADULT EDUCATION. IT WAS A VOLUNTEER POSITION.
