MARIN OPEN STUDIOS IS A NON-PROFIT VISUAL ARTS ORGANIZATION DEDICATED TO ENGAGING AND SUPPORTING MARIN COUNTY ARTISTS AND THEIR AUDIENCES THROUGH EVENTS, PROGRAMS AND SERVICES. MARIN OPEN STUDIOS CHAMPIONS A DIVERSE AND INCLUSIVE COMMUNITY ART EXPERIENCE PROVIDING ESTABLISHED AND EMERGING ARTISTS WITH DIRECT CONNECTIONS TO BAY AREA AUDIENCES AND ART PATRONS.

MARIN OPEN STUDIOS OFFERS THE PUBLIC SELF-GUIDED, VIRTUAL TOURS OF THE STUDIOS OF MARIN COUNTY'S ARTISTS DURING THE FIRST TWO WEEKENDS OF MAY, WITH A LARGE GALLERY OPEN FOR ONE MONTH. THE EVENT INCLUDES AN EXHIBITION OF 270 PARTICIPATING ARTISTS AT TOWN CENTER, CORTE MADERA.AN ONLINE, YEAR-ROUND GALLERY FEATURING ALL ARTISTS WITH CURATED EXHIBITS IS OFFERED ON MARINOPENSTUDIOS.ORG. EACH ARTIST HAS THEIR OWN PAGE WITH THEIR ARTWORK, EVENS AND BIOGRAPHY. A PREVIEW RECEPTION AT THE GALLERY HONORING THE ARTISTS WAS ATTENDED BY 400 PEOPLE. THE EXHIBIT GAVE THE PUBLIC THE OPPORTUNITY TO CONNECT WITH ARTISTS AND SAMPLE THEIR ARTWORK. EACH YEAR, APPROXIMATELY 30,000 RESIDENTS ARE DIRECTLY EXPOSED TO MARIN OPEN STUDIOS' ARTISTS. A 48-PAGE ARTISTS' TOUR GUIDE WITH ENCLOSED MAPS IS DISTRIBUTED TO 40,000 RESIDENTS WITHIN MARIN MAGAZINE AND TO COUNTRYWIDE VENUES, ALONG WITH COMPREHENSIVE SOCIAL AND PRINT MEDIA COVERAGE.
AN ARTIST GUIDE FOR THE OPEN STUDIOS EVENT IS PRINTED TO LIST THE LOCAITON OF EACH OPEN STUDIO, TO SHOW AN EXAMPLE OF EACH ARTIST'S WORK, AND TO GIVE DIRECTIONS TO THE STUDIOS. THE PRINTING OF THE GUIDE IS PARTIALLY FUNDED BY SELLING ADVERTISEMENT SPACE IN THE GUIDE.
MARIN OPEN STUDIES PROVIDES SERVICES TO SUPPORT DIVERSE AND EMERGING ARTISTS AND GIVE SCHOLARSHIPS TO CANAL ALLIANCE MURAL ARTISTS TO PARTICIPATE AND TO SITES TO DISPLAY THEIR WORK. THEY ALSO PARTNER AND FEATURE MARIN CITY COMMUNITY ARTS GALLERY TO CONNECT WITH LOCAL ARTISTS, DISPLAYING THEIR WORK IN OUR GALLERY. THE SHARED STUDIO PROGRAMS PARTNER WITH TWELVE OTHER MARIN VENUES TO PROVIDE EXHIBIT SPACES. WE CREATED SHARED STUDIOS AT THE NEW SAUSALITO CENTER FOR THE ARTS,EXHIBITING THIRTEEN ARTISTS WITHOUT STUDIOS DURING THE ECENT, BEGINNING A PARTNERSHIP WITH THIS NEW SITE THAT WILL BRING LASTING CHANGE TO CARIN COUNTY ARTS CULTURE
