TO NURTURE AND SUSTAIN THE ART, TECHNIQUE AND EXPRESSION OF CLASSICAL BALLET AND CONTEMPORARY DANCE FOR STUDENTS OF ALL AGES THROUGH EXCEPTIONAL TRAINING AND EDUCATION, UNIQUE AND EXCITING CHOREOGRAPHY, PROFESSIONALLY STAGED PERFORMANCES AND COMMUNITY OUTREACH PROGRAMS.

MARIN DANCE THEATRE (MDT) HAS BROUGHT DANCE INTO THE LIVES OF COUNTLESS FAMILIES THROUGHOUT MARIN COUNTY THROUGH PERFORMANCES PUT ON BY STUDENTS ATTENDING THE MANY DANCE CLASSES THE THEATRE OFFERS DURING THE YEAR. ADDITIONALLY, THE THEATRE'S OUTREACH PROGRAM BRINGS DANCE TO VARIOUS SCHOOLS IN MARIN COUNTY. THROUGH THE TEACHING, PRACTICE AND PERFORMANCE OF DANCE, MDT HAS ALSO HELPED HUNDREDS OF STUDENTS DEVELOP VALUABLE SKILLS FOR HAVING SUCCESSFUL LIVES AS ADULTS. STUDENTS LEARN PHYSICAL AND MENTAL DISCIPLINE, HOW TO RECEIVE AND GIVE DIRECTION, HOW TO PERFORM AS MEMBER OF THE TEAM, HOW TO WORK HARD TO ACHIEVE INDIVIDUAL AND GROUP GOALS. STUDENTS ALSO DEVELOP POISE, CHARACTER AND MATURITY THROUGH THEIR DANCE CLASS, REHEARSAL AND PERFORMANCE EXPERIENCES AT MDT.
