THE DESMOND BISHOP FITNESS FOR YOUTH FOUNDATION IS A HUMANITARIAN ORGANIZATION. IT WAS CREATED TO HELP KIDS WHO ARE STRUGGLING FINANCIALLY, AND OFTEN EMOTIONALLY, GROW INTO SELF-SUFFICIENT ADULTS AND BECOME CONTRIBUTING MEMBERS OF SOCIETY. THE LONG-TERM GOAL OF THE ORGANIZATION IS TO OPEN A YOUTH CENTER TO HELP UNDERPRIVILEGED CHILDREN. THE FOUNDATION CONTINUES ITS EFFORTS TO HELP AT-RISK YOUTH, USING SPORTS AS A STEPPING STONE TO CONTINUE THEIR EDUCATION AND BECOME SUCCESSFUL ADULTS.
