SERVE UNEMPLOYED YOUNG ADULTS AGES 18-25 BY PROVIDING EDUCATIONAL DEVELOPMENT, PAID JOB TRAINING AND HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMAS (APPROXIMATELY 159 SERVED). PARTICIPANTS IN JOB READINESS TRAINING PROGRAMS EXPERIENCE A WIDE VARIETY OF ACTIVITIES RANGING FROM RECYCLING TO PLANTING NATIVE NURSERIES AND PROVIDING COVID-19 RELIEF. TOTAL POUNDS OF RECYCLABLES COLLECTED WAS 129,396 WITH 58,686 CONSISTING OF E-WASTE. THERE WERE 100 SITE VISITS TO CERTIFIED OIL COLLECTION CENTERS AND 1,280 USED TIRES COLLECTED. CORPSMEMBERS PARTICIPATED IN A NATURALIST AMBASSADOR TRAINING PROGRAM THROUGH A PARTNERSHIP WITH THE NATIONAL FOREST FOUNDATION AND OTHER COLLABORATIVE ORGANIZATIONS, LEARNING ABOUT FOREST ECOLOGY. FIRE HAZARD REDUCTION, HABITAT REHABILITAION, URBAN FORESTRY, DROUGHT-TOLERANT LANDSCAPE INSTALLATION AND NEW PARK CONSTRUCTION. OPERATE AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAMS WITH THE SUPPORT OF LONG BEACH UNIFIED SCHOOL DISCTRICT.
