JEREMIAH'S PLACE WILL PROTECT CHILDREN AND STRENGTHEN FAMILIES BY PROVIDING A SAFE HAVEN OF RESPITE, HEALTH, RENEWAL, AND SUPPORT FOR CHILDREN AND FAMILIES DURING TIMES OF CRISIS. WE STRIVE TO SERVE AS A LEADING VOICE FOR CHILD ABUSE PREVENTION THEREBY TRANSFORMING THE COMMUNITY INTO A PLACE THAT IS SAFE, STABLE, AND LOVING FOR ALL CHILDREN.

PITTSBURGH'S ONLY CRISIS NURSERY, FAMILIES EXPERIENCING A CRISIS, EMERGENCY OR STRESSFUL SITUATION MAY LEAVE THEIR CHILDREN AGES 6 AND YOUNGER, AT THE CRISIS NURSERY FOR A FEW HOURS UP TO A FEW DAYS WHILE THEY TAKE CARE OF THEIR SITUATION. JEREMIAH'S PLACE MAINTAINS FULL STAFFING 24 HOURS A DAY, AS EMERGENCIES MAY HAPPEN AT ANY TIME OF THE DAY. WE REMAIN A STEADY SUPPORT FOR FAMILIES NEEDING OUR SERVICES. CONSULTATION AND REFERRAL SYSTEM, JEREMIAH'S PLACE OFFERS PARENTS ONE-ON-ONE TIME WITH A SOCIAL WORKER TO DISCUSS THEIR CURRENT FAMILY AND LIFE SITUATION. THE SOCIAL WORKER CONDUCTS A MANDATORY IN-TAKE AND WILL REFER FAMILIES TO ADDITIONAL SERVICES AND RESOURCES THAT ARE SPECIFIC TO THEIR SITUATION.
