TO ESTABLISH CHILDCARE AND YOUTH PROGRAMS AND RELATED SERVICES FOR FUND ELIGIBLE 1199 MEMBERS IN ORDER TO INCREASE THEIR ACCESS TO HIGH QUALITY, AFFORDABLE CHILD CARE AND YOUTH RELATED SERVICES AND INFORMATION. TO ASSIST PARENTS RECONCILING THEIR WORK AND FAMILY RESPONSIBILITIES, THE FUND WILL PROVIDE PROGRAMS AND SERVICES THAT MEET THE PARTICULAR NEEDS OF CHILDREN FROM INFANCY THROUGH AGE 17.

PROVIDES REIMBURSEMENTS FOR THE FOLLOWING CHILD CARE SERVICES FOR 8,356 PARTICIPANTS:1. CHILD CARE VOUCHERS - REIMBURSE PARENTS A PORTION OF THEIR CHILD CARE EXPENSES(SERVED 3,818 PARTICIPANTS)2. DAY CARE VOUCHERS - REIMBURSE PARENTS A PORTION OF THEIR CHILD CARE EXPENSES ON A QUARTERLY BASIS (SERVED 4,538 PARTICIPANTS)


PROVIDES OTHER CHILD CARE SERVICES FOR 2,295 PARTICIPANTS:1. SUMMER CAMP PROGRAM - THIS IS WHERE THE CHILD SPEND THE 8 WEEKS WHEN THE SCHOOL IS CLOSE FOR THE SUMMER. SERVED 2,045 PARTICIPANTS.2. WORKFORCE 2000 - THIS PROGRAM PROVIDES SERVICES TO YOUNGSTERS FROM 14 YEARS OLD TO 17 YEARS OLD. FOR ONE YEAR, STUDENTS PARTICIPATE IN A RIGOROUS SELF-EXPLORATION WHICH INCLUDES A WEEKEND RETREAT, SUMMER INTERNSHIP, WORKSHOP AND SATURDAY CLASSES AT NEW YORK UNIVERSITY. SERVED 202 PARTICIPANTS.3. HOLIDAY PROGRAM - PROVIDE CHILD CARE SERVICE DURING HOLIDAYS WHEN THE SCHOOLS ARE CLOSED IN FEBRUARY, APRIL AND DECEMBER. SERVED 39 PARTICIPANTS.4. CULTURAL ARTS - THIS SATURDAY PROGRAM PROVIDES A RICH CULTURAL AND ARTSEXPERIENCE FOR YOUNGSTERS FROM 5-17 YEARS OLD. SERVED 671 PARTICIPANTS. 5. SAT PREP - CLASSES AVAILABLE TO PREPARE THE CHILDREN TO PASS THE SAT TEST. SERVED 9 PARTICIPANTS.
