TO FACILITATE DEVELOPMENT INITIATIVES, WHICH MAY INCLUDE HOUSING, TO BENEFIT UNDERSERVED COMMUNITIES AND POPULATIONS AND TO SUPPORT THE OUTREACH PROGRAMS OF CENTRAL UNITED METHODIST CHURCH OF DETROIT. TO THIS END, THE ORGANIZATION SPONSORS THE N.O.A.H. (NETWORKING, ORGANIZING, AND ADVOCATING FOR THE HOMELESS) PROJECT WHICH PROVIDES LUNCH FOUR TIMES A WEEK, COUNSELING, CRISIS INVERVENTION AND ASSISTANCE TO HOMELESS INDIVIDUALS IN DOWNTOWN DETROIT.

PROJECT DETROIT - COMMUNITY CENTER PROGRAM A MONDAY THRU THURSDAY DROP-IN CENTER THAT ENCOMPASSES A BAG LUNCH PROGRAM, A COMPUTER TRAINING LAB, AN EARN-A-BIKE CLASS TO GIVE ACCESS TO TRANSPORTATION, A NARCOTICS ANONYMOUS MEETING SPACE AND A WELLNESS CENTER OFFERING EDUCATION AND ACCESS TO HEALTH CARE. INDIVIDUALS ARE ALSO PROVIDED WITH OTHER SOCIAL SERVICES INCLUDING MENTAL HEALTH COUNSELING.
