MORE THAN 2,700 MEMBER HOUSEHOLDS OF THE ASSOCIATION RECEIVE NEWSLETTERS THAT PROVIDE BACKGROUND INFORMATION ABOUT IMPORTANT UTILITY ISSUES. EACH NEWSLETTER ENCOURAGES MEMBERS TO FORWARD ANY IDEAS, SUGGESTIONS, OR QUESTIONS ABOUT UTILITY PUBLIC POLICY ISSUES TO THE ASSOCIATION OFFICE. FURTHER, EACH OF THE MORE THAN 3,500 INDIVIDUAL USND MEMBERS ARE INVITED TO PUBLIC MEETINGS TWO TIMES A YEAR TO ENGAGE IN DISCUSSIONS WITH UTILITY EXECUTIVES, REGULATORS, AND/OR POLITICIANS ABOUT LOCAL AND NATIONAL UTILITY ISSUES. MEETINGS ARE CONDUCTED IN SIX DIFFERENT LOCATIONS AROUND THE STATE SO MEMBERS CAN EASILY ATTEND ONE OF THE MEETINGS.
THE ASSOCIATION EXECUTIVE ATTENDS REGULATORY AND LEGISLATIVE MEETINGS TO GATHER INFORMATION THAT CAN BE DISSEMINATED TO ASSOCIATION MEMBERS AS NECESSARY.
