OUR CULTURALLY SENSITIVE 8-SUBJECT WORKSHOPS PROGRAM FOR LATINO FAMILIES OCCUR THROUGHOUT SAN DIEGO COUNTY 150 DAYS OUT OF THE 180 SCHOOL DAYS IN CALIFORNIA. LOCATION OF WORKSHOPS ARE PUBLIC LOCATIONS WHERE PARENTS AND THEIR FAMILIES HAVE ACCESS AND ARE FAMILIAR WITH THEIR SURROUNDINGS I.E. SCHOOLS, PLACES OF WORSHIP, PUBLIC CENTERS, ETC. FOR THE YEAR 2022 WE HAVE SERVED OVER 2,225 FAMILIES OR AN ESTIMATED 9,000 PEOPLE (PARENTS AND THEIR CHILDREN). MAMF PUBLIC CHARITY ORGANIZATION OFFERING SUPPORT AND EDUCATION FOR LATINO FAMILIES IS COVERING THE FOLLOWING 8-SUBJECT AREAS OF CONCERN IN 8-WORKSHOP PROGRAMS FOR THE POPULATION WE SERVE ARE: 1)THE POWER OF EDUCATION, 2) POSITIVE DISCIPLINE: LIMITS, 3) FAMILY ILLNESS: HEALTHY AND TOXIC FAMILIES, 4) THE TRUTH ABOUT DRUGS: MARIHUANA/VAPING/AND ALL OTHERS, 5)EDUCATION IS PREVENTION: DOMESTIC VIOLENCE/BULLYING, 6) MENTAL HEALTH: EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE, SUICIDE PREVENTION, DEPRESION, 7) INTERNET DANGERS: SEX TRAFFICKING,GROOMING, APPLICATIONS, 8) FENTANYL CRISIS.
