APPOINTMENTS PROJECT - ESTABLISHED BY THE ORGANIZATION IN 2014, THE APPOINTMENTS PROJECT WORKS TO EMPOWER WOMEN AND STENGTHEN COMMUNITIES BY INCREASING THE GENDER DIVERSITY OF CIVIC BOARDS AND COMISSIONS. THROUGH A LANDMARK STUDY, THE ORGANIZATION IDENTIFIED THE BARRIERS CAUSING WOMEN TO BE UNDERREPRESENTED ON CIVIC BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS AND ESTABLISHED THE APPOINTMENTS PROJECT TO IMPROVE THE NUMBER OF WOMEN SERVING.


POLICY AND RESEARCH - THE ORGANIZATION COMMISSIONS RESEARCH, DATA, ANDSTORIES TO INFORM AND INSPIRE POLICY CHANGES THAT ADDRESS AND IMPROVE THE EVERYDAY EXPERIENCES OF WORKING WOMEN, FROM THE BOARDROOM TO THEIR PLACES OF WORK. THIS RESEARCH, ALONG WITH THE ORGANIZATION'S ENCOURAGEMENT THROUGH TOWN HALLS, ECONOMIC SUMMITS, AND BUILDING COALITIONS OF PUBLIC AND PRIVATE PARTNERS, IS INTENDED TO PROVIDE A CLEAR PICTURE TO POLICYMAKERS OF THE REFORMS NEEDED TO ADVANCE WOMEN'S ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT.
