IN-HOME SERVICES - THE IN-HOME SERVICE PROGRAM PROVIDES ASSISTANCE TO THE ELDERLY, HANDICAPPED, AND CHILDREN IN MAINTAINING INDEPENDENCE, MINIMIZING NEED FOR INSTITUTIONAL CARE AND SAFEGUARDING AGAINST POTENTIAL ABUSE OR NEGLECT. IN-HOME SERVICES INCLUDE PERSONAL CARE, HOMEMAKER CHORE AND RESPITE SERVICES. HEARTLAND CONTRACTS WITH NORTHEAST MISSOURI AREA AGENCY ON AGING, MISSOURI DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH AND SENIOR SERVICES, MEDICAL SERVICES, DEPARTMENT OF MENTAL HEALTH AND OTHER FUNDING SOURCES TO PROVIDE THESE SERVICES.
