THE ACADEMY PRESENTED TWO EVIDENCE-BASED CME PROGRAMS FOR FAMILY AND PRIMARY CARE PHYSICIANS AND OTHER NON-PHYSICIAN ATTENDEES ADDRESSING ISSUES OF CRITICAL IMPORTANCE TO THE CARE OF MISSOURI CITIZENS.
TO PROMOTE AND MAINTAIN HIGH STANDARDS OF THE PRACTICE OF GENERAL AND FAMILY MEDICINE; TO ENCOURAGE AND ASSIST YOUNG MEN AND WOMEN IN PREPARING, QUALIFYING, AND ESTABLISHING THEMSELVES IN FAMILY AND GENERAL PRACTICE; TO PRESERVE THE RIGHT OF THE FAMILY AND GENERAL PRACTITIONER TO ENGAGE IN MEDICAL AND SURGICAL PROCEDURES FOR WHICH THEY ARE QUALIFIED BY TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE; TO ASSIST IN PROVIDING POSTGRADUATE STUDY COURSES FOR FAMILY AND GENERAL PRACTITIONERS AND TO ENCOURAGE AND ASSIST OTHER PHYSICIANS AND SURGEONS IN PARTICIPATING IN SUCH TRAINING; TO ADVANCE MEDICAL SCIENCE, PRIVATE AND PUBLIC HEALTH AND TO PRESERVE THE FREE CHOICE OF PHYSICIAN TO THE PATIENT.
