THE MISSION OF THE ALLIED ARTS COUNCIL IS TO ENRICH THE LIVES OF THE CITIZENS OF THE ST. JOSEPH, MISSOURI, AND THE SURROUNDING AREA BY BRINGINIG ARTS AND PEOPLE TOGETHER.

CORE PROGRAM ARTS FUND, ARTS EDUCATION PROGRAMS INCLUDE ARTISTS IN THE SCHOOLS, THE ST. JOSEPH SCULPTURE WALK, ALONG WITH THE ARTS FUND, FURTHERS THE EDUCATION OF AREA STUDENTS AND GIVES THE COMMUNITY EXPOSURE TO THE ARTS. COMMUNITY PARTICIPATION NUMBERS ARE HIGHER THIS YEAR BECAUSE WE HAD THE STEAM FESTIVAL, WHERE OVER 4,000 PEOPLE ATTENDED THE EVENT. IN FY 2022, THE ARTISTS IN THE SCHOOLS PROGRAM REACHED 1341 STUDENTS AND TEACHERS. ARTSCAPE WAS CANCELLED FOR A 3ND YEAR DUE TO COVID-19. THE NUMBERS FOR SCULPTURE WALK REMAINED CONSTANT, WITH OVER 20,000 EXPOSURES. THE ART SERVICES AAC PROVIDES TO MEMBER AGENCIES INCLUDE MARKETING SUPPORT, CULTURAL PLANNING, AND FUNDRAISING THROUGH THE ANNUAL ARTS FUND CAMPAIGN. THE ARTS FUND ENDOWMENT IS A PLAN IN PROGRESS TO ENSURE THE LONG-TERM FINANCIAL SECURITY OF THE ARTS FUND AND THE ARTS.
DAVID MORTON MEMORIAL FUND- FUNDS ARE RESTRICTED TO USE AT THE DIRECTION OF THE TRUSTEE COMMITTEE AS APPROVED BY THE AACS BOARD OF DIRECTORS. THE MORTON FUND APPROVED 3 AWARDS FOR 2022, PERFORMING ARTS ASSOCIATION 2,500, ST. JOSEPH HISTORICAL SOCIETY 2,000, AND ST. JOSEPH SYMPHONY 2,000.
