THE DUBUQUE REGIONAL HUMANE SOCIETY IS AN OPEN ADMISSIONS AND NO KILL FACILITY THAT WORKS TO PROTECT AND PROMOTE THE WELL BEING OF ALL ANIMALS BY FOSTERING RESPECT FOR THEIR INHERENT DIGNITY.

DURING THE YEAR 2,960 STRAY AND RELINQUISHED ANIMALS WERE ADMITTED. 223 ANIMALS WERE RECLAIMED BY OWNERS AND 2,602 ANIMALS WERE ADOPTED INTO NEW HOMES. THE ORGANIZATION'S LIVE RELEASE RATE WAS 98.98%. THE STAFF MEDICAL TEAM SPAYED OR NEUTERED 1,655 CATS AND DOGS, HAVING A POSITIVE IMPACT ON OVERPOPULATION. WE PROVIDED OVER 1,294 YOUTH WITH HUMANE EDUCATION CURRICULUM DEVELOPED AROUND FORWARDING THE DRHS MISSION OF CARE AND COMPASSION. THE ORGANIZATION HAD 338 VOLUNTEERS THAT DONATED OVER 20,000 HOURS PROVIDING CARE FOR ANIMALS. OVER 11,300 POUNDS OF DOG AND CAT FOOD ALONG WITH CAT LITTER WAS DONATED TO PET OWNERS FACING FINANCIAL HARDSHIPS.
