Part 3
MANY CHILDREN DREAM OF HAVING THE OPPORTUNITY TO EXPERIENCE THE JOY OF SPENDING TIME WITH HORSES. HORSES ARE KNOWN TO HAVE A POSITIVE THERAPEUTIC EFFECT ON INDIVIDUALS IN A RANGE OF AREAS, INCLUDING MENTAL, PHYSICAL AND EMOTIONAL ENRICHMENT. DUE TO THE COSTS INVOLVED, MANY FAMILIES ARE PROHIBITED FROM EXPERIENCING THIS DREAM. EDY OFFERS A SOLUTION BY PROVIDING GROUPS AND YOUTHS ACCESS TO HORSES FOR ONE DAY EVENTS. A DAY AT EDY RANCH TYPICALLY CONSISTS OF MINI CLINICS THAT ADDRESS ALL ASPECTS OF THE HORSE. THE EXPERIENCE BEGINS WITH A BRIEF LESSON ON SAFETY, GROOMING, FEEDING AND THE ANATOMY OF THE HORSE. THE DAY IS INTENDED TO BE ONE OF INTERACTION WITH ANIMALS, NATURE AND EACH OTHER, LEARNING ABOUT HORSE CARE AND EXPERIENCING THE LOVE AND SPECIAL CONNECTION BETWEEN HUMANS AND HORSES. EDY ENDEAVORS TO RETURN TO A SIMPLER TIME OF LIFE. WE BELIEVE IT IS IMPORTANT TO GET OUTDOORS AND RECONNECT WITH OURSELVES, ANIMALS AND NATURE.
