IT FURTHER REPRESENTS AND PROMOTES THE INDUSTRY TO THE PUBLIC/CONSUMER.

EDUCATION IS PROVIDED THROUGH MONTHLY MEETINGS WITH A SPECIFIC TECHNICAL OR BUSINESS TOPIC; WORKSHOPS AND SEMINARS ON BUSINESS OR TECHNICAL TOPICS; REGISTERED APPRENTICESHIP PROGRAM FOR HVAC TECHNICIANS; ADMINISTER INDUSTRY CERTIFICATIONS. PROGRAMS ARE CONDUCTED WITHIN A THREE-COUNTY AREA AND ARE TAUGHT BY HIRED INSTRUCTORS, INDUSTRY OR BUSINESS EXPERTS, AND KNOWLEDGEABLE MEMBERS WITH SUPPORT FROM ASSOCIATION STAFF. INCREASES KNOWLEDGE AND PROFESSIONALISM. 86 MEMBERS.
PARTICIPATION ON OTHER BOARDS OR SUPPORT OF OTHER PROGRAMS THAT PROMOTE INTERINDUSTRY COOPERATION, I.E.: LOCAL CHAPTERS OF THE NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF HOME BUILDERS, BUILDERS EXCHANGE, PRE-APPRENTICE PROGRAMS IN LOCAL HIGH SCHOOLS, AMERICAN SOCIETY OF HEATING, REFRIGERATION AIR CONDITIONING ENGINEERS, FLORIDA REFRIGERATION AND AIR CONDITIONING CONTRACTORS ASSOCIATION. PARTICIPATION ON LOCAL REGULATORY BOARDS, I.E. LOCAL BUILDING DEPARTMENTS DISCIPLINARY BOARDS. MEETINGS WITH LOCAL BUILDING DEPARTMENT OFFICIALS AND OTHER AGENCIES TO DISCUSS NEW OR CURRENT REGULATIONS THAT ADVERSELY IMPACT THE INDUSTRY.
