DANCE EDUCATION: IN FY 20-21, BALLET FANTASTIQUE OFFERED YEAR-ROUND DANCE CLASSES AND WORKSHOPS FOR YOUTH AGES 2-18, WITH A SEPARATE COMMUNITY TEEN/ADULT DANCE EDUCATION PROGRAM. THE ACADEMY OF BALLET FANTASTIQUE: ADAPTED TO SERVE MORE STUDENTS THAN EVER THROUGH AN ADAPTED NEW HYBRID MODEL OF VIRTUAL AND IN-PERSON DANCE EDUCATION CLASSES, OFFERED NEARLY 50 WKS OF THE YEAR AND TAUGHT BY AN INTERNATIONAL TEAM OF PROFESSIONAL TEACHING ARTISTS; OFFERED SCHOLARSHIP SUPPORT AND FINANCIAL AID TO ENSURE NEED-BLIND ADMISSIONS FOR TALENTED STUDENTS (INCREASED TO 75% OF STUDENTS RECEIVING SOME KIND OF FINANCIAL AID); AND CONDUCTED HYBRID ONLINE AND IN-PERSON LIMITED ATTENDANCE SUMMER INTENSIVE CAMPS AND WORKSHOPS FOR BEGINNING THROUGH PROFESSIONAL STUDENTS, INCLUDING THE PROFESSIONAL DANCER DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM (WHICH ANNUALLY DRAWS NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL AUDITIONS) AND A VIRTUAL MASTER CLASS SERIES WITH OUR INTERNATIONAL ARTIST ADVISORY COUNCIL, INCLUDING WITH DANCE THEATRE OF HARLEM PRINCIPAL DANCER FREDRICK DAVIS. INNOVATED PERFORMANCE OFFERINGS INCLUDED DISTANCED OUTDOOR OFFERINGS SUCH AS "BALLET IN THE VINEYARD" (SILVAN RIDGE WINERY; SOLD OUT; SEPT. 2020) AND "BALLET ON THE GREEN" (SHADOW HILLS COUNTRY CLUB; SOLD OUT; SEPT. 2020). IN THE FALL OF 2020, BALLET FANTASTIQUE PRESENTED MULTIPLE WATCH PARTIES OF PREVIOUSLY UNRELEASED ORIGINAL CONCERTS, IN PARTNERSHIP WITH LOCAL BUSINESSES FOR TAKEOUT DINNER PAIRINGS AND "EXPERIENCE BOXES". HOLIDAY WATCH PARTIES INCLUDED: "HALLOWEEN 2020 ("LEGEND OF SLEEPY HOLLOW"); NEW YEAR'S EVE 2020 ("CLEOPATRA: THE BALLET"); AND VALENTINE'S DAY 2021 ("PRIDE & PREJUDICE: A PARISIAN JAZZ BALLET"). THE COMPANY'S MOST AMBITIOUS DIGITAL RELEASE WAS BALLET FANTASTIQUE'S FIRST--AND PERHAPS THE FIRST OF ITS KIND--FEATURE- LENGTH JAZZ BALLET MOVIE: "AN AMERICAN CHRISTMAS CAROL" SPUN THE COMPANY'S ALREADY UNIQUE ORIGINAL JAZZ BALLET SPIN ON CHARLES DICKENS' "CHRISTMAS CAROL" INTO A FEATURE FILM FILMED ON LOCATION ACROSS THE NW AND SET TO A SCORE SUNG BY INTERNATIONAL AWARD-WINNING JAZZ SINGER HALIE LOREN.
