AUTO TECHNICAL, INC. (ATI) PROVIDES AFFORDABLE TRANSPORTATION TO FAMILIES WHO ARE TRANSITIONING FROM WELFARE TO EMPLOYMENT, ARE LEAVING WOMEN'S SHELTERS, OR ARE NEWLY ARRIVED IMMIGRANTS FLEEING OPPRESSION FROM THEIR NATIVE COUNTRIES. IN ALL CASES, THE GOAL WITH THESE FAMILIES IS TO HELP THEM WITH THE LAST MAJOR STEP TOWARD SELF-SUFFICIENCY, WHICH IS TRANSPORTATION. DONATED VEHICLES ARE REPAIRED AND RECONDITIONED AT ATI'S FACILITIES. IN ADDITION, ATI PROVIDES EDUCATIONAL AND VOCATIONAL TRAINING TO DISADVANTAGED INDIVIDUALS WITH AUTOMOTIVE-RELATED MAINTENANCE EDUCATION.
