TO ADVANCE IMPROVEMENT AND PERFORMANCE EXCELLENCE BY IDENTIFYING STRENGTHS AND IMPROVEMENT OPPORTUNITIES AS WELL AS BUILDING NETWORKS THAT BRING INFORMATION, RESOURCES, KNOWLEDGE AND BEST PRACTICES TO ORGANIZATIONS, INDIVIDUALS AND COMMUNITIES DESIRING TO IMPROVE.

ASSESSMENT:THROUGH A VOLUNTARY BOARD OF EVALUATORS, PEN PROVIDES DIAGNOSTIC ASSESSMENTS FOR ORGANIZATIONS DESIRING TO IMPROVE PERFORMANCE AND OUTCOMES. THIS PROGRAM HELPS LEADERS IDENTIFY AND PRIORITIZE STRENGTHS AND IMPROVEMENT OPPORTUNITIES, HELPING ORGANIZATIONS FOCUS, ALIGN, AND OPTIMIZE RESOURCES. IN 2022, PEN CONDUCTED 7 PERFORMANCE EXCELLENCE AWARD ASSESSMENTS AND 12 NON-AWARD ASSESSMENTS.EDUCATION:PEN PROVIDES TRAINING, WORKSHOPS, SEMINARS, CONFERENCES TO LEADERS, PROFESSIONALS, AND THE GENERAL PUBLIC IN ALL SECTORS OF THE ECONOMY (BUSINESS, EDUCATION, HEALTHCARE, NONPROFITS, AND GOVERNMENTAL AGENCIES). EDUCATION FOCUSES ON BEST PRACTICES AND METHODS TO IMPROVE INDIVIDUAL, ORGANIZATIONAL, AND/OR COMMUNITY PERFORMANCE. EDUCATION ALSO INCLUDES TRAINING FOR NON-PROFIT BOARD OF EVALUATORS. IN 2022, PEN TRAINED OVER 40 EVALUATORS AND TRAINED/SERVED APPROXMIMATELY 3000 LEADERS/PROFESSIONALS (NEARLY 250 IN WORKSHOPS/SEMINARS, NEARLY 400 IN CONFERENCES, AND OVER 2200 IN MONTHLY BREAKFAST/WEBINARS).RECOGNITION:PEN RECOGNIZES ORGANIZATIONS IN MINNESOTA, SOUTH DAKOTA, AND NORTH DAKOTA THAT ARE USING QUALITY AND CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT PRINCIPLES TO IMPROVE OUTCOMES. PEN RECOGNIZES VOLUNTEERS WHO PROVIDE TIME AND EXPERTISE TO HELPING ORGANIZATIONS AND COMMUNITIES IN THE UPPER MIDWEST IMPROVE PERFORMANCE. IN 2022, PEN RECOGNIZED 7 ORGANIZATIONS FOR THEIR IMPROVEMENT EFFORTS AND OVER 40 VOLUNTEERS FOR THEIR SERVICES AS EVALUATORS.
