ROTARY INTERNATIONAL PROVIDES HUMANITARIAN SERVICE WORLDWIDE, ENCOURAGES HIGH ETHICAL STANDARDS AND HELPS BUILD INTERNATIONAL GOODWILL AND PEACE. ROTARY DISTRICT 5960 PROVIDES SUPPORT AND CONTINUITY TO ROTARY CLUBS, TO THE DISTRICT AND TO AID THEM IN MEETING THOSE OBJECTIVES.

Part 3 - Line 4a

THE DISTRICT GENERALLY SUPPORTS LOCAL ROTARY CLUBS IN CARRYING OUT THE GOALS AND PURPOSE OF ROTARY INTERNATIONAL. THE DISTRICT ASSISTS LOCAL CLUBS TO INITIATE AND IMPLEMENT SERVICE PROJECTS BOTH LOCALLY AND INTERNATIONALLY. THE DISTRICT SUPPORTS WORLD AND COMMUNITY SERVICE ACTIVITIES SUCH AS SCHOLARSHIPS FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDY, FOREIGN EXCHANGE FOR HIGH SCHOOL AGED YOUTH, BOTH INBOUND AND OUTBOUND, AND INTERNATIONAL VOCATIONAL AND GROUP STUDY EXCHANGES FOR PROFESSIONAL ADULTS.


THE DISTRICT SUPPORTS LOCAL ROTARY CLUBS BY HOLDING MEMBERSHIP CLINICS AND EDUCATIONAL SEMINARS ON THE PURPOSE AND PROGRAMS OF ROTARY AND THE WORKINGS OF THE ROTARY FOUNDATION.


THE ORGANIZATIONS DISTRICT GRANTS FOUNDATION COMMITTEE ASSISTS IN LOCAL AND GLOBAL GRANTS APPLIED FOR BY ITS MEMBERSHIP IN HELPING LOCAL AND GLOBAL COMMUNITIES WITH PROJECTS TO BETTER THE WORLD.


THE ORGANIZATIONS GRANTS COMMITTEE SPONSORS GLOBAL FELLOWSHIP SCHOLARSHIPS TO GRADUATE STUDENTS TO ATTEND SCHOOLS THROUGHOUT THE WORLD TO PRACTICE THE ROTARYS SEVEN AREAS OF FOCUS.
