FOOD PROGRAM: COLLECTED AND DISTRIBUTED 9,404,353 POUNDS OF USDA COMMODITIES, BADGER BOXES, DONATED FOOD, PRODUCE GROWN AT THE HUNGER TASK FORCE FARM, AND PURCHASED FOOD TO QUALIFIED FOOD PANTRIES, MEAL SITES AND ELIGIBLE SENIOR CITIZENS.


OUTREACH: PROVIDED SUMMER MEALS TO LOCAL ELIGIBLE CHILDREN IN MILWAUKEE; MAINTAINED THE HUNGER RELIEF FUND; ORGANIZED FOOD FOR FAMILIES CAMPAIGN AND OTHER LARGE SIGNATURE COMMUNITY FOOD DRIVES, DISTRIBUTIONS AND EVENTS; ASSISTED ELIGIBLE PARTICIPANTS WITH NAVIGATING THE WISCONSIN FOODSHARE PROGRAM; PROVIDED NUTRITION EDUCATION IN LOCAL PUBLIC SCHOOLS, PARTNERED WITH PIGGLY WIGGLY TO BRING THE MOBILE MARKET TO MILWAUKEE NEIGHBORHOODS.


ADVOCACY: WORKED TO ENSURE THAT NUTRITION AND ANTI-HUNGER PROGRAMS ARE ADEQUATELY FUNDED AND OPERATED IN A MANNER THAT MAKES THEM ACCESSIBLE TO THOSE WHO NEED ASSISTANCE; COORDINATED AND ORGANIZED THE HUNGER RELIEF FEDERATION.
