(DAC) PROVIDES A RANGE OF QUALITY SERVICES PROMOTING COMMUNITY INCLUSION IN ADULTS (18 YEARS OF AGE AND OLDER) WHO ARE DIAGNOSED WITH INTELLECTUAL AND DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES (IDD). THE DAC OFFERS A 240 DAY SCHEDULE IN DOWNTOWN TWO HARBORS WHERE TRAINED PROGRAM STAFF WORK WITH INDIVIDUALS SERVED TO CREATE HAND-LOOMED RUGS,SHRED CONFIDENTIAL DOCUMENTS, AND PARTICIPATE IN OTHER PAID JOBS THROUGH LOCAL BUSINESSES AND COMMUNITY MEMBERS. ALSO, THE DAC PROMOTES INDIVIDUALIZED SERVICES TO PEOPLE SERVED TO ENGAGE IN COMMUNITY BASED ACTIVITIES THAT SUPPORT SOCIALIZATION, EDUCATION, RECREATION, AND PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT FOR THE PURPOSE OF BUILDING AND STRENGTHENING RELATIONSHIPS.
