THE DANISH AMERICAN CENTER IS THE COMMUNITY CENTER FOR THE DANISH COMMUNITY IN AND ABOUT THE TWIN CITIES AREA. ONE OF THE GOALS OF THE CENTER IS TO PROVIDE FACILITIES TO ITS COMMUNITY. PRIORITY FOR USE OF SPACE WILL BE:- DANISH AMERICAN CENTER EVENTS AND ACTIVITITES- DANISH AMERICAN CENTER MEMBERS- AFFILIATED AND ASSOCIATED GROUPS
A GALA DINNER, A SPECIAL LUNCHEON (CALLED JULEFROKOST), AND A CHILDREN'S CHRISTMAS PARTY ALL COMBINE TRADITIONAL DANISH FOOD, DECORATIONS, AND DANCES WITH FELLOWSHIP. CHILDREN LEARN HOW TO CREATE TRADITIONAL DANISH CHRISTMAS TREE ORNAMENTS. EDUCATIONAL ACTIVITIES AT THE DANISH AMERICAN CENTER INCLUDE DANISH LANGUAGE CLASSES AND MAINTENANCE OF A LENDING LIBRARY.
