THROUGHOUT 2021-22 THE ASSOCIATION CONTINUED USE OF ITS WEB SITE (WWW.SNA-WI.ORG) AND ESTABLISHED A REGULAR SCHEDULE OF USING ADDITIONAL SOCIAL MEDIA METHODS (FACEBOOK, LINKEDIN AND TWITTER) TO COMMUNICATE WITH CURRENT AND PROSPECTIVE MEMBERS AND EVENT ATTENDEES WHILE MAINTAINING THE TRADITIONAL TRIENNIAL NEWSLETTER DISTRIBUTED TO APPROXIMATELY 1,200 MEMBERS, INDUSTRY PARTNERS AND KEY LEGISLATIVE AND REGULATORY CONTACTS.
THE ASSOCIATION'S ANNUAL CONFERENCE CONTINUES AS A THREE-DAY EDUCATIONAL PROGRAM INCLUDING A TRADE SHOW THAT IS ATTENDED BY APPROXIMATELY 70 VENDORS UTILIZING MORE THAN 130 BOOTH SPACES AND DRAWS AN AUDIENCE OF MORE THAN 300 ATTENDEES. THE CURRICULUM OFFERS SCHOOL NUTRITION PROFESSIONALS THE OPPORTUNITY TO EARN UP TO 12 HOURS OF CONTINUING EDUCATION UNITS BY ATTENDING EDUCATIONAL AND INFORMATIONAL SESSIONS ON BEST PRACTICES AND NEW DEVELOPMENTS IN THE FIELD OF NUTRITION. THE FORMAL ANNUAL BUSINESS MEETING AND HOUSE OF DELEGATES MEETINGS FOR THE ASSOCIATION ARE HELD IN CONJUNCTION WITH THIS ANNUAL CONFERENCE.
IN ADDITION TO THE ANNUAL CONFERENCE, TWO ADDITIONAL SINGLE-DAY EDUCATIONAL EVENTS ARE HELD IN THE SPRING AND THE FALL. CONTINUING EDUCATION UNITS ARE GAINED FOR PARTICIPATION IN THE EDUCATIONAL CONTENT AND THE TARGET AUDIENCE FOR THESE EVENTS IS GEARED TOWARDS THE MANAGEMENT LEVEL NUTRITION STAFF IN K-12 SCHOOLS THROUGHOUT WISCONSIN. EACH EVENT DRAWS APPROXIMATELY 60 PARTICIPANTS AND APPROXIMATELY 50 VENDORS.
