TO UNITE ACCESSIBILITY EQUIPMENT MANUFACTURERS TO LIAISE COLLECTIVELY WITH EQUIPMENT USERS, ARCHITECTS, BUILDING OWNERS, CODE WRITERS, REGULATORY AUTHORITIES, AND THE ELEVATOR INDUSTRY IN GENERAL; TO GATHER, ANALYZE, APPRAISE, AND DISSEMINATE INFORMATION PERTAINING TO THE INDUSTRY, AND TO SERVE AS A FORUM FOR THE STANDARDIZATION OF ACCESSIBILITY EQUIPMENT OPERATION, TERMINOLOGY, SIGNAGE AND OTHER DESIGN ASPECTS TO FACILITATE SAFETY, SECURITY, AND EASE OF USE; TO DO ALL THINGS NECESSARY TO PROMOTE THE WELFARE OF THE ASSOCIATION AND ITS MEMBERS, AND TO WISELY SERVICE ITS MEMBERS, INDUSTRY AND PUBLIC.
