DOOR COUNTY HABITAT FOR HUMANITY IS A CHRISTIAN ORGANIZATION STRIVING TO PROVIDE TO ALL WHO PARTICIPATE WITH US OPPORTUNITIES TO FURTHER GROW INTO ALL GOD INTENDS. WE ACT IN PARTNERSHIP WITH OUR COMMUNITY TO EXTEND A "HAND UP" TO HELP OTHERS ACQUIRE AND OWN DECENT AND AFFORDABLE HOUSING.

WORKED WITH ECONOMICALLY DISADVANTAGED PEOPLE TO HELP THEM CREATE A BETTER HUMAN HABITAT IN WHICH TO LIVE AND WORK. ONE HOME CLOSING WAS COMPLETED DURING THE YEAR. HABITAT OPERATES THE RESTORE AS A SOCIAL ENTERPRISE OF THE ORGANIZATION ESTABLISHED TO BE A SELF-SUSTAINING FUNDING SOURCE FOR THE ORGANIZATION AND TO PROVIDE THE COMMUNITY WITH LOW-COST BUILDING AND HOME IMPROVEMENT MATERIALS. THIS PROGRAM HAS THE ADDITIONAL BENEFIT OF PREVENTING USABLE MATERIALS FROM ENDING UP IN LANDFILLS. THE PROFIT FROM THE RESTORE IS USED TOWARD THE MISSION OF THE ORGANIZATION.
