OUR ORGANIZATION MAKES SHORT-TERM (UP TO 3-6 MONTHS) MEDICAL EQUIPMENT LOANS AT NO COST TO DOOR COUNTY RESIDENTS/VISITORS TO THE COUNTY. IN 2021 WE SERVED 1627 CLIENTS WITH THE HELP OF 26 VOLUNTEERS (826 VOLUNTEER HOURS). OUR PEER COMPANION AND RESPITE CARE PROGRAM OFFERS VOLUNTEERS WHO PROVIDE COMPANIONSHIP TO OLDER ADULTS WHO ARE HOMEBOUND, AND RESPITE CARE FOR FAMILY CAREGIVERS, ALLOWING FOR A BREAK FOR THE CAREGIVERS. IN 2021 WE SERVED 19 INDIVIDUALS WITH THE HELP OF 7 VOLUNTEERS (306 VOLUNTEER HOURS). WE ALSO SPONSOR A LEMONADE CLUB, WHICH IS A GROUP OF CANCER PATIENTS/SURVIVORS THAT TYPICALLY MEET ONCE A MONTH FOR FRIENDSHIP AND SUPPORT. WE SERVED 8 CLIENTS IN 2021.
