MARC FOUNDATION OF DANE COUNTY PROVIDES FINANCIAL SUPPORT TO THE PROGRAMS PROVIDED BY MADISON AREA REHABILITATION CENTERS, INC. (DBA MARC, INC.) TO ADULTS WITH DEVELOPMENTAL AND INTELLECTUAL DISABILITIES THROUGHOUT DANE COUNTY AND PART OF SAUK COUNTY.

REPRESENTS LEASE REVENUES AND INTEREST AND DEPRECIATION EXPENSES OF THE MARC FOUNDATION OF DANE COUNTY RELATED TO THE LEASE OF BUILDINGS TO MARC, INC. TO BE USED IN SUPPORT OF VARIOUS PROGRAMS FOR SOME OF THE MORE THAN 375 ADULTS WITH DEVELOPMENTAL DISABILITIES IN THE VARIOUS MARC, INC. PROGRAMS THROUGHOUT 6 LOCATIONS IN DANE COUNTY AS WELL AS A PROGRAM IN SAUK COUNTY, WI. ONE OF THE IMPORTANT OBJECTIVES OF THE MARC PROGRAMS IS TO ASSURE THAT THOSE ADULTS ARE MORE FULLY INTEGRATED INTO THE COMMUNITY BY ACTIVELY PARTICIPATING IN ACTIVITIES OUTSIDE OF THE VARIOUS MARC FACILITIES. WITH FINANCIAL SUPPORT FOR ADULTS IN MARC PROGRAMS OFTEN TIMES LAGGING NEEDS, MARC FOUNDATION OF DANE COUNTY'S SUPPORT IS CRUCIAL TO MARC'S ABILITY TO NOT ONLY PROVIDE, BUT ALSO TO ELEVATE PROGRAMS AND FULL COMMUNITY INTEGRATION ON BEHALF OF MARC, INC PARTICIPANTS. THE PROGRAMS INCLUDE DAY CARE SERVICES, RETIREMENT ARTS PROGRAMS, MICRO-ENTERPRISE BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT, AND SUPPORTED EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES THROUGHOUT ALL OF DANE COUNTY AND PARTS OF SAUK COUNTY.
CONSISTS LARGELY OF MISCELLANEOUS EXPENSES RELATED TO SUPPORTING PROGRAM SERVICES SUCH AS DUES AND SUBSCRIPTIONS, SUPPLIES, ADMINISTRATIVE FEES, AND ACCOUNTING FEES.
MARC FOUNDATION OF DANE COUNTY PROVIDES FUNDING FOR EMPLOYEE RECOGNITION AWARDS AT THE MARC ANNUAL RECOGNITION EVENT. THERE ARE FOUR SUCH AWARDS; ONE ANNUALLY AND THREE PRESENTED IN ALTERNATE YEARS. THE FUNDING IS PROVIDED VIA AN ANNUAL GRANT TO MARC AND COMES FROM RESTRICTED FUNDS AT THE MARC FOUNDATION OF DANE COUNTY. THE ANNUAL RECOGNITION EVENT ALSO RECOGNIZES LOCAL BUSINESSES WHO HIRE MARC PROGRAM PARTICIPANTS AS WELL OTHER MARC EMPLOYEES WITH LONGEVITY AND VOLUNTEERS. THE FOUNDATION ALSO, ON OCCASION, ACKNOWLEDGES ALL MARC EMPLOYEE EFFORTS THROUGH AN ANNUAL "THANK YOU" THAT OFTEN INCLUDES A FINANCIAL APPRECIATION AND/OR COMMUNITY OUTING EVENT THANK YOU. THIS IS ALSO DONE THROUGH A GRANT TO MARC. THE MARC FOUNDATION OF DANE COUNTY ALSO OVERSEES AN ANNUAL FALL FUND DRIVE, THE PROCEEDS OF WHICH ARE PROVIDED TO MARC VIA AN ANNUAL GRANT TO BE USED TO SUPPORT ACTIVITIES OUT IN THE COMMUNITY FOR CLIENTS AS WELL AS PROGRAM NEEDS.
