AFFORDABLE HOUSING - DEVELOPMENT AND DELIVERY OF HOUSING SERVICES THAT ALLOW INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILIES TO THRIVE BY PROVIDING A STRONG, STABLE FOUNDATION FOR SUCCESS THROUGH QUALITY, AFFORDABLE HOUSING. HOUSING STOCK IS TYPICALLY DEVELOPED THROUGH PURCHASE OF LOW-COST, NEGLECTED HOMES IN THE COMMUNITY; REHABILITATION OF HOMES USING EXTENSIVE INVOLVEMENT OF COMMUNITY BUSINESSES, SCHOOLS AND VOLUNTEERS; AND RENTAL OF UNITS AT A RATE THAT IS AFFORDABLE TO THE TENANTS (I.E. CRISIS HOUSING - PROVIDING SAFE, TEMPORARY SHELTER TO INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILIES EXPERIENCING HOMELESSNESS. IN ADDITION TO SHELTER, PARTICIPANTS ARE OFFERED SERVICES INCLUDING CASE MANAGEMENT, ADDICTION RECOVERY, MENTAL HEALTH SUPPORT, AND A VARIETY OF OTHER SUPPORTS TO REMOVE BARRIERS THAT MAY PREVENT THEM FROM ACHIEVING HOUSING. A DEDICATED STREET OUTREACH TEAM IS ALSO AVAILABLE TO CONNECT WITH THOSE LIVING IN PLACES NOT INTENDED FOR HUMAN HABITATION.
