END ABUSE PROMOTES SOCIAL CHANGE THAT TRANSFORMS SOCIETAL ATTITUDES, PRACTICES AND POLICIES TO PREVENT AND ELIMINATE DOMESTIC ABUSE AND OPPRESSION. END ABUSE IS THE ONLY STATEWIDE COALITION LED BY SOCIAL POLICY ADVOCATES, ATTORNEYS AND EXPERTS WORKING TO SUPPORT, CONNECT, EQUIP, EMPOWER AND LEAD ORGANIZATIONS FOR SOCIAL CHANGE TO END DOMESTIC ABUSE. END ABUSE'S FOUR MOST COMMON ACTIVITIES ARE 1) NETWORKING AND SUPPORT FOR VICTIMS, THEIR FAMILIES, AND FOR PROFESSIONALS WORKING WITH VICTIMS, BATTERERS, AND THEIR CHILDREN; 2) TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE; 3) POLICY DEVELOPMENT; AND 4) EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND QUALITY IMPROVEMENT.

PROGRAM SUPPORT, TRAINING, AND TECHNICAL SUPPORT: IN 2023, END ABUSE RESPONDED TO OVER 978 REQUESTS FOR TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE. OF THOSE CONTACTS, 494 OF STAFF TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE CONTACTS INVOLVED SERVICES TO LOCAL DOMESTIC VIOLENCE AND SEXUAL VIOLENCE PROGRAMS. WE PROVIDED TRAINING TO 2,771 INDIVIDUALS, INCLUDING A WIDE VARIETY OF SYSTEMS PROFESSIONALS AS WELL AS OVER 1,310 VICTIM ADVOCATES FROM LOCAL DOMESTIC OR SEXUAL ABUSE PROGRAM. THAT TRAINING INCLUDED 80 TRAINING EVENTS, INCLUDING CONFERENCES, WORKSHOPS, WEBINARS, AND VIDEO CONFERENCES SPONSORED BY END ABUSE. TRAININGS AND MEETING PARTICIPATION INCLUDED A BROAD RANGE OF VICTIM ADVOCACY, COURT PERSONNEL, EDUCATORS, HOUSING PROVIDERS, AND HEALTH PROFESSIONALS
POLICY DEVELOPMENT AND LEGISLATION: IN 2023, END ABUSE'S POLICY ADVOCACY FOCUSED ON THE PREVENTION OF LEGISLATION THAT WOULD BE HARMFUL TO SURVIVORS OF VIOLENCE. POLICY STAFF EFFORTS BECAME CONCENTRATED ON ADVOCACY EFFORTS RELATING TO THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC, INCLUDING ADVOCATING FOR INCREASED FUNDS FOR SURVIVORS AND RAISING AWARENESS OF THE COMPOUNDING IMPACT THAT THE PANDEMIC HAS ON SURVIVORS OF VIOLENCE AND THEIR CHILDREN.
MEMBERSHIP: END ABUSE PROGRAM MEMBERSHIP PROVIDES DOMESTIC VIOLENCE AND DUAL (COMBINED DV AND SEXUAL ASSAULT PROGRAMS) ACCESS TO FREE TRAININGS AND THE ABILITY TO VOTE ON CRITICAL ISSUES. ALLIED PARTNER MEMBERSHIPS ALLOW CLOSELY ALIGNED NON-PROFITS ACCESS TO THESE TRAINING AS WELL. BEING A MEMBER OF THE COALITION MEANS YOU HAVE ACCESS TO: 1) LEADERSHIP OPPORTUNITIES SUCH AS THE ABILITY TO SERVE ON THE END ABUSE BOARD AND OTHER RELEVANT COMMITTEES; 2) PARTICIPATION AT ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP MEETINGS AND VOTING RIGHTS THAT INFLUENCE THE DIRECTION OF THE COALITION; 3) THE MEMBERS AREA OF OUR WEBSITE THAT INCLUDES RECORDED TRAININGS, EDUCATIONAL MATERIALS, AND PUBLICATIONS LIKE THE LEGAL MANUAL; 4) FREE TRAININGS ON TOPICS INCLUDING LEGAL ISSUES, FOUNDATIONS OF ADVOCACY, HOUSING, AND ISSUES FACING MEMBERS OF THE LGBTQ COMMUNITY, AS WELL AS DISCOUNTED CONFERENCE FEES.
