THE MINNESOTA CHILDRENS ALLIANCE (MCA) IS AN ACCREDITED STATE CHAPTER OF THE NATIONAL CHILDRENS ALLIANCE AND WORKS WITH CENTERS IN MINNESOTA TO MEET THE CHILDADVOCACY CENTER ACCREDITATION STANDARDS. MCA SUPPORTS MN CHILDRENS ADVOCACY CENTERS (CAC), THEIR PARTNER MULTIDISCIPLINARY TEAMS, AND ALL COMMUNITIES RESPONDING TO CHILD ABUSE ALLEGATIONS THROUGH MULTIDISCIPLINARY TEAMS, DEVELOPING LOCAL CACS AND SUPPORTING PROFESSIONALS IN THE FIELD THROUGH TRAINING, RESEARCH AND ADVOCACY INEDUCATION ON PUBLIC POLICY. SERVICES INCLUDE SUPPORTING ESTABLISHED CACS, ASSISTING LOCAL COMMUNITIES DEVELOP NEW CENTERS AND MULTIDISCIPLINARY TEAMS, PROMOTING AND EDUCATING ON BEST PRACTICES IN CHILD ABUSE INVESTIGATIONS, AND TRAUMAINFORMED SERVICES. THE ORGANIZATION ASSISTS STAFF OF MEMBER ORGANIZATIONS WITH STATISTICALANALYSIS, DATABASE ENTRY, CASE TRACKING, INVENTORY MAINTENANCE, COORDINATION, RECORD KEEPING AND SCHEDULING. THEY HELP DETERMINE THE BEST WAYS TO ASSIST VICTIMS AND FAMILIES OBTAIN MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES AND OVERCOME BARRIERS TO RECEIVING TREATMENT.
