QUAIL SPRINGS IS A LEADING ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATIONAL NONPROFIT THAT EMPOWERS STUDENTS OF ALL AGES AND BACKGROUNDS WITH KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND INSPIRATION ESSENTIAL TO CULTIVATING ECOLOGICAL AND SOCIAL HEALTH.

ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION: QUAIL SPRINGS CONTINUED ALL EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMMING ONLINE THROUGHOUT 2021. THESE OPPORTUNITIES ENTAILED THREE ONLINE COURSES: OUR FLAGSHIP PERMACULTURE DESIGN COURSE, A NATURAL BUILDING COURSE, AND A LAND-BASED LIVING COURSE. STUDENTS FROM ALL WORLD PARTICIPATED VIA THINKIFIC, SLACK AND ZOOM. QUAIL SPRINGS HOSTED FREE MONTHLY FARM TOURS AT OUR DEMONSTRATION SITE FROM MAY THROUGH DECEMBER. LOCAL EDUCATION AND ACTIVISM GROUPS WERE HOSTED FOR DAY VISITS IN ORDER TO SHARE OUR WORK AND EDUCATION SITE. OUR EDUCATIONAL CONTENT AND VIDEOS WERE SHARED WITH AN AUDIENCE OF MORE THAN 17,000 PEOPLE THROUGH SOCIAL MEDIA. WE BUILT EARTHEN WALLS AT A TESTING FACILITY IN TEXAS IN ORDER TO HAVE NATURAL MATERIALS UNDERGO AN OFFICIAL FIRE TESTING. WE RECEIVED AN ASTM RATING AND HAVE BEEN SHARING THIS INFORMATION WIDELY IN ORDER TO CHANGE BUILDING CODES.
