SOUTHSIDE COMMUNITY KITCHEN REOPENED AFTER OUR MOVE TO THE NEW LOCATION AND THE LOCKDOWN IN OCTOBER 2021. THREE HUNDRED SIXTY-FOUR MEALS WERE SERVED IN THAT MONTH. SINCE THIS REOPENING, SOUTHSIDE COMMUNITY KITCHEN HAS STEADILY INCREASED THE NUMBER OF MEALS SERVED TO 754 PER MONTH AT THE END OF THE FISCAL YEAR, AN INCREASE OF 107%.SOUTHSIDE COMMUNITY KITCHEN CONTINUES TO SERVE WEEKLY HOT NUTRITIOUS MEALS AND SOCIAL INTERACTION AT UNITARIAN UNIVERSALIST CHURCH AND GALILEE BAPTIST CHURCH. THERE IS CONTINUED CONTACT WITH THE GENERAL PUBLIC AND COMMERCIAL DONORS THROUGH A QUARTERLY NEWSLETTER. PLANS FOR CONTINUED SERVICE TO THE COMMUNITY THROUGH AN INFORMATIONAL BREAKFAST, CELEBRATION OF VOLUNTEERS WHO LARGELY STAFF THE ORGANIZATION, HOLIDAY GATHERING OF REGULAR GUESTS, AND ADDITIONAL OPPORTUNITIES THAT MAY ARISE.
