TO PROVIDE A MINISTRY IN THE FORM OF SERVICES TO THE POOR AND DISADVANTAGED PEOPLE IN LANSING.

SHELTER HOMES/PERMANENT SUPPORTIVE HOUSING - PROVIDES RENTAL ASSISTANCE AND CASE MANAGEMENT TO FORMERLY HOMELESS INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILIES. THIS PROGRAM HELPED 7 INDIVIDUALS IN SHELTER HOMES AND MORE THAN 250 PERSONS IN THE PERMANENT SUPPORTIVE HOUSING AND RAPID REHOUSING PROGRAMS.OUR STREET OUTREACH PROGRAM ALSO SERVED OVER 300 PERSONS WHO WERE HOMELESS AND LIVING ON THE STREET, IN ENCAMPMENTS, OR OTHER PLACES NOT MEANT FOR HABITATION AND ASSISTED THEM WITH SHELTER, SUPPORT SERVICES, AND ASSISTANCE ACCESSING HOUSING PROGRAMS. COVID-RELATED EMERGENCY HOUSING PROGRAM WORKED IN PARTNERSHIP WITH OTHER AREA AGENCIES TO ASSIST HOUSEHOLDS TO AVOID EVICTION BY REVIEWING ELIGIBILITY AND PAYING RENTAL ARREARAGES, THEREBY PREVENTING HOMELESSNESS. THIS PROGRAM SERVED OVER 3,000 HOUSEHOLDS.
WEEKEND DAY SHELTER - PROVIDES SHELTER MEALS, AND A GATHERING PLACE FOR HOMELESS PEOPLE AND NEIGHBORHOOD RESIDENTS ON WEEKENDS. APPROXIMATELY 1,900 PEOPLE PARTICIPATED AND MORE THAN 28,000 MEALS WERE SERVED.
