RONALD MCDONALD HOUSE CHARITIES OF ANN ARBOR OPERATES TWO HOUSES (THE MAIN HOUSE AND MOTT HOUSE) THAT PROVIDE UP TO 43 FAMILIES EACH NIGHT WITH A SAFE AND COMFORTING "HOME AWAY FROM HOME" WHILE THEIR CHILD IS RECEIVING TREATMENT AT LOCAL HOSPITALS. APPROXIMATELY 1,200 FAMILIES USE THESE HOUSES EACH YEAR WHERE THEY RECEIVE A PRIVATE ROOM AND BATHROOM, ACCESS TO COMMON AREAS, KITCHEN, LAUNDRY, AS WELL AS HOME COOKED MEALS. NO FAMILY IS EVER CHARGED FOR THEIR STAY, SOME LASTING MONTHS.
