CARPENTER'S PLACE PROVIDES THE TOOLS NECESSARY FOR REBUILDING THE LIVES OF THE HOMELESS.
Describe the Organization's Program Activity:
CASE MANAGEMENT PROGRAM:FOR THE FISCAL YEAR ENDING JUNE 30, 2021, 725 HOMELESS MEN AND WOMEN WERE IN THE CARPENTERS PLACE CASE MANAGEMENT PROGRAM. THE GOAL OF THE PROGRAM IS TO IDENTIFY, PROVIDE, AND/OR SECURE THE SERVICES NEEDED TO REBUILD THE LIVES OF THE HOMELESS ADULTS SO THEY CAN REACH SELF-SUFFICIENCY. DURING THIS PERIOD, 95 OBTAINED HOUSING AND 70 SECURED EMPLOYMENT. TO LEAD TO THIS SUCCESS, A SAMPLING OF SERVICES RECEIVED INCLUDE: 47 RECEIVED MENTAL HEALTH TREATMENT /COUNSELING/MEDICATION, AND 92 SECURED AN ID CARD OR DRIVERS LICENSE.
HOUSING PROGRAM:CARPENTERS PLACE PROVIDES HOUSING FOR 37 HOMELESS ADULTS. THE TARGET POPULATIONS FOR THIS PROGRAM INCLUDE: 3 VETERANS, 14 CHRONICALLY HOMELESS ADULTS, 8 WOMEN WITH NO ATTENDANT CHILDREN, 4 HOMELESS ADULTS WITH MENTAL ILLNESS, AND 8 MEN WHO OBTAINED NEW EMPLOYMENT, BUT HAD NOT YET BECOME SELF-SUPPORTING. EACH HOUSING PROGRAM HAS A MANAGER THAT PROVIDES OVERSIGHT AND CASE MANAGEMENT FOR PARTICIPANTS.
DAY SHELTER PROGRAM:CARPENTERS PLACE PROVIDES A DAY SHELTER WHERE HOMELESS MEN AND WOMEN CAN ACCESS SERVICES AND BE SAFE FROM THE DANGERS OF THE STREETS AND INCLEMENT WEATHER. FOR THE FISCAL YEAR ENDING JUNE 30 2021, AN AVERAGE OF 71 INDIVIDUALS CAME TO THE DAY SHELTER DAILY TOTALING 1,376 UNIQUE VISITORS AND 17,652 VISITS. IN THE SAME TIME, 11,715 MEALS WERE SERVED, 1,921 SHOWERS WERE TAKEN, AND 2,938 PHONE CALLS WERE MADE ON A PHONE THAT IS AVAILABLE FOR HOUSING, EMPLOYMENT, AND MEDICAL CALLS BY THE HOMELESS.
