ENERGY ASSISTANCE - PROVIDES ASSISTANCE FOR ELDERLY AND LOW-INCOME HOUSEHOLDS TO MEET ENERGY BILLS TO ASSURE THAT THEY HAVE HEAT THROUGH THE WINTER. IN 2021, 5,531 HOUSEHOLDS WERE SERVED.
AREA AGENCY ON AGING - THIS PROGRAM PROVIDES A WIDE VARIETY OF SERVICES TO OLDER INDIVIDUALS, INCLUDING PREPARATION AND SERVING OF MEALS (68,539 MEALS), PROVISION OF IN-HOME HEALTH AND HOME MAINTENANCE SERVICES (39,521 HOURS), ACCESS TO SENIOR ACTIVITY CENTER (12,100 HOURS), 142 SENIORS ISSUED VOUCHERS TO THE FARMERS MARKET, AND 7153 INDIVIDUALS RECEIVED INFORMATION AND ASSISTANCE. THE TOTAL NUMBER OF SENIOR CITIZENS 60+ SERVED WAS 11,967.
