ANNUAL REFRIGERATION WAREHOUSE MANAGEMENT INSTITUTE FOR TRAINING APPROXIMATELY 383 MEMBERS.PRIOR TO THE ONSET OF THE PANDEMIC, WFLO HOSTED OUR ANNUAL INSTITUTE TRAINING PROGRAM IN JANUARY AND FEBRUARY 2020. OUR COMBINED ATTENDANCE ACROSS OUR TWO TRAINING SITES TOTALED 445 STUDENTS, REPRESENTING 57 TEMPERATURE-CONTROLLED THIRD-PARTY LOGISTICS PROVIDERS. UNFORTUNATELY, WFLO WAS UNABLE TO HOST THE LIVE IN PERSON INSTITUTES IN 2021 BUT WE DID CONTINUE TO ENGAGE ATTENDEES VIA VIRTUAL TRAINING CLASSES, WEBINARS AND A NEW LEARNING MANAGEMENT SYSTEM (LMS).
RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT IN THE FIELD OF REFRIDGERATION OF FOOD AND COMMODITIES GLOBALLY.IN 2021 WFLO SUPPORTED 15 INTERNATIONAL DEVELOPMENT PROJECTS COVERING 21 COUNTRIES. WE SUCCESSFULLY LED AN EDUCATIONAL COLD CHAIN STUDY TOUR FOR A DELEGATION FROM THE DOMINICAN REPUBLIC, COMPLETED ASSESSMENTS IN BANGLADESH AND THE DOMINICAN REPUBLIC, AND CLOSED OUT AN EXTENSIVE REMOTE TRAINING PROGRAM FOR CENTRAL ASIA. OUR REMOTE/ONLINE TRAINING PROGRAMS ARE IN VARIOUS STAGES OF REPLICATION FOR OTHER COUNTRIES.
