RESEARCH AND ACTION HUB: THIS PROGRAM PROVIDES RESEARCH AND DISSEMINATES INFORMATION ON ISSUES INCLUDING JOB QUALITY (ACCESS TO AND QUALITY OF EMPLOYMENT BENEFITS SUCH AS PAID MATERNITY, PARENTAL, AND FAMILY AND MEDICAL LEAVE), WORKPLACE FLEXIBILITY (SUCH AS JOB SHARING AND FLEXIBLE SCHEDULES), CHILD CARE, AND INTERNATIONAL COMPARISON OF WORK-FAMILY POLICIES.
INSTITUTIONAL SUPPORT: INSTITUTIONAL SUPPORT IS MULTI-YEAR FUNDING PROVIDED TO ENABLE IWPR TO APPLY THE FUNDS FLEXIBLY, WHERE MOST NEEDED, OR WHERE A PARTICULAR FOCUS MAY CUT ACROSS A VARIETY OF RESEARCH AREAS. ECONOMIC SECURITY, MOBILITY AND EQUITY: IWPR'S ECONOMIC SECURITY, MOBILITY, AND EQUITY INITIATIVE HIGHLIGHTS THE EXTENT OF PAY INEQUALITIES IN THE U.S. LABOR MARKET, THE ROLE OF OCCUPATIONAL SEGREGATION AND DISCRIMINATORY EMPLOYMENT PRACTICES IN PERPETUATING UNEQUAL PAY AND RACIAL AND ETHNIC GENDER INEQUITIES, AND THE LACK OF A COMPREHENSIVE CARE INFRASTRUCTURE IN REDUCING WOMEN'S ADVANCEMENT AND ECONOMIC SECURITY.
